Our mission is to create an inclusive environment for the specific purpose of loving, encouraging, equipping, training, and discipling young men and women through practical and necessary application of The Word of God so that they can respond sincerely and effectively to the call of God on their lives. In plain language, we are compelled to help you be able to answer the questions, “Who is Jesus?” and “Do I really believe in Him?”.
Vision:
The God's Clay Youth Ministry will be recognized as a community of preteens, teens, and young adults who daily demonstrate the holy character, nature, and love of God through fully surrendered lives; always prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks the reason for the hope that we have
(1 Peter 3:15).

Amos is passionate about musical arts. In his spare time he enjoys composing lyrics and music that glorifies God along with performing his original work at occasional church functions. He is down-to-earth, funny, and real and can be found practically every Sunday committedly working as the director of audio and sound at Covington Drive. Sometimes you may be fortunate to catch him leading the congregation in to the presence of God through song or filling in as the drummer. His passion and faithfulness are well appreciated by the church. More than that though, is his willingness to listen and be transparent in his interactions with the youth. With Amos, what you see is what you will get.
Kizzy, as we fondly know her, is an anomaly. She is unapologetically passionate about sharing the great love, grace, and saving power of God through His Son Jesus. Kizzy does not shy away from asking hard questions of herself and all those who profess to be followers of Christ. Neither is she shy about engaging with others who ask hard questions of her and about her belief in God. As a lay minister in the Church of God of Prophecy, Kizzy preaches and teaches of God’s redeeming and transforming power and is quick to tackle real issues pertinent to our time. As a former teen parent and overall flawed human being (her words) she has a saying that she holds to, “A life that testifies of Christ Jesus is the most powerful weapon for deliverance.” Kizzy goes hard in everything. She laughs hard, she plays hard, she serves hard and she will tell you that she is about this life; a life lived for Christ. She’s a solider and won’t let you forget it.
Partners for life, Amos and Sherice would never have guessed that one day they would also be partners in ministry. Sweethearts since their high school days, their journey has been unconventional in every way. They both grew up attending church, were made to participate, and did not mind doing so but neither imagined that they would someday be appointed as a youth pastor; especially not after becoming teen parents. However, by divine design, they married just over a year after completing high school and have been writing their history together ever since. Amos and Sherice are humbled by the awesome opportunity to serve as co-youth pastors and would be honored to meet you and introduce you to a man that has the power to change your life for the better and forever.
